"It’s all I know,
This empty road.
It keeps me looking for a place in your heart."

this was just simple small watercolour I did for an assignment in art to get extra marks, which I never ended up handing in.

When I look at it, I realise that it reflects the road I sometimes take when I close teared eyes, a path that leads me to an obscure land that I have never seen before. It is an empty road that terrifies me, yet remains all too familiar. As much as I struggle to get to that somewhere the road never ends, and each step I take echoes on the virgin landscape. There is nothing between the rain-soaked ground below and thundering clouds above me except my beaten mind. This road is that emotional vacuum that sucks me up into its darkness some nights-it can put my mind in agony, yet it is my place of peace, leaving me free to roam in search of that remote hope.

Very dismal, but very beautiful. This is a lovely piece, even if it does make me sad... Still, the price of sadness is worth it, it's a great watercolour.

Wow... it's all dark andd compelling-like. Very nice... I like how the only real colour is a muddled sort of blue. And how everything seems to have a sharp edge even though the actual objects deny it...
